Polar FT7 Heart Rate Monitor Great basic.
Having tried and been unhappy with a Timex model HRM, I had a lot of expectations for this Polar model. I was pleased that it had a lot of differences - aside from correct performance - from the Timex.
Pros:
> The watch face is not that large, I was worried since it's labeled as "mens".
> The chest strap is actually split, with a nice connecting hook, so I don't have to pull it over my body but around.
> It stores up to 99 training histories - so if I don't record it straight away I wont lose the data.
> The menus are very easy to understand and navigate through, though there is a lot the device tracks.
Cons:
> I can't sleep with the watch on (haven't tried with the strap - why would I?), as it leaves marks because it's slightly shaped.
> You have to wet the sensors of the strap under running water each time before working out. Not a big deal when you're wearing work out clothes - but I tried wearing the strap under a work blouse for a walk once and ended up with wet splotches. Probably not an issue for most, but I thought to mention it.
This is a great HRM so far, I'm happy with the cost I had to pay and the product so far.
